What is plastic regrind?
Plastic scrap that has been ground into small flakes or chips. Manufacturers often feed clean regrind straight back into extrusion or moulding, blended with virgin or repro resin; recyclers wash and pelletise it.
What is the difference between regrind and pellets?
Regrind is ground but not remelted, so it is irregular in size and may still carry contamination. Pellets have been melted, filtered and cut to a uniform size, which makes them easier to feed and more consistent - and more expensive.
